The visual identity was inspired by phrases from various unboxing YouTube videos. We wanted to express the main theme of the festival through this specific language, drawing a parallel between the unboxing phenomenon and the experience of huge expectations followed by deep disappointment in Czech society after the transition from totalitarianism to capitalism in 1989. Based on this, we temporarily renamed the festival Unboxing Democracy.
